That experience shaped our mission: to make bankruptcy software more efficient, intuitive and accessible, so legal professionals can spend less time on administrative work and more time serving their clients.

Today, NextChapter is part of the Clio ecosystem, bringing together our deep focus on bankruptcy with Clio’s broader vision for transforming the legal experience through technology. Our team combines legal industry expertise, software engineering, product development, customer success, and entrepreneurship to continuously improve the way bankruptcy cases are prepared and managed.

Head of NextChapter

Katie is passionate about helping people do their best work and finding better ways to serve customers. She enjoys solving tough problems, building strong relationships and figuring out how to make things work better. When she’s not working, Katie can usually be found traveling, planning her next adventure or obsessing over her garden.

Kelly Oldiges

Lead Product Manager

Kelly is enthusiastic about improving the lives of attorneys with a smart and intuitive software. She spends her time outside of the office playing volleyball and running around with her son.

Sara Taylor

Product Manager

As a former paralegal, Sara brings her legal background and passion for problem-solving to her role as a Product Manager, where she works to create solutions driven by user experience. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and discovering new recipes.

Tim Shadoan

Account Executive

Tim is dedicated to helping new customers find automated solutions for their firm. He is enthusiastic about communicating with prospective customers to build lasting relationships, and solving time consuming issues. When Tim is not on the phone, he enjoys finding new projects around his house, hosting dinner parties and playing golf.

Emma Ceniza

Manager of Customer Success

Emma is energized by continuous improvement, building impactful relationships, and empowering users to navigate complex challenges with confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys island life in Washington state with her husband and pup and can often be found sharing baking projects with her neighbors, taking scenic motorcycle rides and spending time outdoors in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

James Brooks

Customer Success Manager

James is passionate about helping customers and utilizes his positive attitude to enhance user experiences. Outside of NextChapter, James enjoys spending time with his daughter and hanging out with friends!

Lindsey Tomko

Customer Success Manager

Lindsey excels in customer service, connecting with users through chat, phone, and email while gathering valuable feedback to enhance the application. Thriving in a smaller team environment, Lindsey loves collaborating across departments and contributing to a growing field. Outside of work, you’ll find Lindsey spending time with her cats, reading, hiking, or knitting.

Lazar Zubic

Head of Engineering

Lazar is both analytical and passionate about legal tech and data. He never goes a day without coffee, and finds that it gives him the energy he needs to solve problems and perfect NextChapter. Lazar spends his free time with friends and family, playing video games, and watching movies.

Danica Misic

Senior Software Engineer

Danica has a bit of a detective streak, she's loved mystery novels since she was a kid, and that same curiosity carries into investigating bugs at NextChapter. She enjoys building new features just as much though. Outside of work, she has a deep love for film and literature, is into photography, and is always planning her next trip.

Emanuel thrives in the dynamic world of startups, where constant challenges and opportunities for growth fuel his passion. Collaborating with a highly skilled development team, he takes pride in owning impactful projects that drive company success. When he’s not tackling complex problems, Emanuel enjoys playing with his child, strumming the guitar, diving into video games, and unwinding with friends and movies.
